David (Dave) Karlson began preparing tax returns in 1988 for friends and start-up small businesses. In 1993 he left the General Aviation industry and committed full time to building his firm into the best small-company accounting, tax and advocacy firm that he could. In 2001 he obtained his Series 7 and 63 securities registrations and added financial services. In 2003, Investment Advisory and Life/Health/Disability Insurance lines of business were added to round out the palette of financial services offered. It has been his goal to create a one-stop financial services firm catering to the needs of individuals and small businesses.
Dave started his working career as a line service technician fueling and servicing aircraft at Hales Corners Airport and General Mitchell Field. He also worked as a flight instructor, traffic watch pilot and eventually became controller for an FBO at Mitchell Field. He worked for a few years as the general manager of an FBO in Indianapolis then re-located back to Milwaukee where he served as the Vice-President of Finance for an air charter company.
Dave has an Airline Transport Pilot's license with Multi-Engine rating, he enjoys flying, airplanes, playing electric guitar, oxy-acetylene welding, golf, SCUBA diving and camping.
Dave is a member of the Parkland Kiwanis and serves on the Board of Directors and is Treasurer of the USO of Wisconsin.
